An Italian restaurant in Shoreditch, within easy reach of The City
Back in 2019, our Italo Squadra landed in Shoreditch with a bold promise: to give Londoners a one-way ticket to Capri, through authentic Neapolitan pizzas and homemade pasta. Seven years later, Gloria is still keeping that promise (and yes, still changing lives one burrata at a time). So open the doors of our trattoria and grab a glass of Prosecco, your trip to the Bel Paese is about to begin.
Gloria Trattoria London is our Italian restaurant nestled in Great Eastern Street, steps away from Liverpool Street and Old Street, in East London.
Whether you’re looking for a lunch spot to unwind with your colleagues or a well-deserved dinner after a successful shopping session in Spitalfields Market, Gloria Trattoria is our sunny corner right in the heart of Shoreditch.
Expect an explosive menu featuring homemade pasta, such as our iconic Mafaldine al Tartufo to share served straight from a Pecorino Wheel, grilled secondi — our veal rosé Ossobuco with creamy polenta is not to miss — warm focaccias, and naughty dolci, a slice of our cheesecake to round off the feast, the Italo way.

Our life-long love story: handmade pasta
Every morning Chef Antimo and his Italo Squadra of pasta makers take extra care and time to make the soft and tender pasta dough using semolina Casillo to produce all types of shapes and fillings. Think spaghetti, spaghettoni, linguine, Mafaldine and of course, lasagna sheets…
As our trusted amici know very well, our motto is “Go big, or go home” and to celebrate Gloria’s turning seven, we decided to (oops!) do it again, bringing back on the menu the iconic 10-level Lasagna: layers upon layers of fresh pasta, slow-cooked beef ragù, creamy béchamel, Parmigiano and melting mozzarella fior di latte… to enjoy with the whole family (or to have it all by yourself!)

Time for a pranzo in Capri // Introducing Gloria’s Pranzetto – our lunch set menu
Short on time but big on lunch? Whether you want to treat your colleagues for a quick lunch break, or you’re looking for a three-course Italo feast to enjoy with family and friends, Gloria is just the perfect spot.
Priced £23 and available at lunchtime Monday to Friday, get ready to indulge in juicy 250g burratas or crispy arancini with truffle, then go big with our homemade Spaghettone in a rich cacio e pepe sauce or a crazy Pizza Dancing Queen: thin layer of San Marzano DOP tomato sauce, mozzarella di Bufala, prosciutto crudo, Pecorino cheese and fresh rocket… to die for.
And for dolce? Pastry maestro Oscar knows no limits when it comes to Tigramisù, and trust us, this one' s not to skip – a spoonful of the nonna’s recipes with a naughty touch of Marsala – and voilà – you’re ready for the afternoon meetings!

Quality and fresh ingredients, prima di tutto…
There are things in life you don’t take for granted, and for the Squadra, those are: amici, famiglia, and authentic Italian ingredients. For over 10 years, we’ve proudly worked hand in hand with more than 150 small producers across the Bel Paese, making sure only the very best finds its way onto our dishes.
Starting with Caseificio Gennari, nestled in the very heart of the Emilian Pianura Padana, where they’ve been producing wheels and wheels of Parmigiano Reggiano DOP — that distinctive flavour you taste as soon as you bite into our crispy Arancini al Tartufo. Then, Sapori di Puglia, a century-old institution in beloved Andria, where we source our juicy 250g burratas. And of course, our special Alfredo Romani, who hand-selects only the very best seasonal tartufi for us, harvested the traditional way in the Appennino Italiano. Our Mafaldine al Tartufo? It wouldn’t taste the same without Signor Romani’s black truffle — grazie mille.
